A brief bio : The greatest female rock band ever, Vixen, was first put together by guitarist Jan Kuehnemund around 1980/81. Many changes followed until the line up of

was reached. They recorded a debut album Vixen in 1988 which went Gold in the US and sold in excess of one million copies worldwide. They followed that up with an even better album, Rev It Up, in 1990 but then in 1991 Share and Janet split off from the band to pursue a different musical direction.
The ex-members of Vixen then pursued various other projects (Click here for details) until eventually Roxy found guitarist Gina Stile and hooked back up with Janet for a Vixen reformation, touring the States in 1997 with Rana Ross on bass. As a 3 piece, Janet, Roxy and Gina recorded Tangerine (released May 1998), which was a departure from Vixen's previous sound, but is still an album of the highest quality.
They added Roxy's sister Maxine (who played with Roxy in Madam X) on
bass, and toured for a while after the album's release.
98 tour line up :
Janet Gardner - Vocals
Gina Stile - Guitar
Roxy Petrucci - Drums
Maxine Petrucci - Bass
In 2001 Vixen reformed with the line up of Janet, Jan & Roxy,
plus new bass player Pat Holloway, and toured the US on the Voices of Metal tour.
This line up unfortunately changed halfway through the tour, with Jan being the only original member
remaining. The new members were Jenna Piccolo (now Sanz-Agero) on vocals, Lynn Louise Lowrey on bass,
and Kat Kraft on drums. Since then the new line up has been writing and recording material for a new album
scheduled for release in 2005. In August 2004 the 'classic' line up reformed for a one off show for VH1's Bands
Reunited programme.
2006 : The new album Live & Learn is finally just about to be released, as Vixen prepare for European shows,
following on from a summer US tour. A live album, part of Sony's 'Extended Versions' series, recorded at the
Sweden Rock Festival in 2005 is also now out.
2007 : Live & Learn is released in the US on January 30th, having been released in Europe in late 2006.
The present day line up of Vixen is :
| Jan Kuehnemund - Guitar | Jenna Sanz-Agero - Vocals |

I got fed up with having a guestbook so if you want to say anything about the site just email me!
I am always looking for Vixen items to buy / trade. I am
particularly interested in video footage (any format), any rare or
unreleased material, and especially anything from the 97, 98 or 2001 tours.
If you have any of the above or anything else you think I might like,
please contact me.

Counter is now kaput. Before those nice people at microsoft who took over the bcentral fastcounter service
decided to stop running it without telling anybody, it registered around 260,000 hits.
